"Here are some more pictures that you may find interesting. These are from a trip to New York City, that the family took, August 26, 1950. The one is of Ma, Em, and I. We are standing in from of Rockefeller Center. The other woman is Nancy Kniffin, the sister of Miriam's husband Ted. Note the look of excitement on everyone's face. Ma had just turned 42, I was eight and Em was sixteen."
"The second photo is Pa and I in New York Harbor, looking at the Statue of Liberty (not in the picture). Is it my imagination or does Pa resemble a Kennedy?"
